Jail Bird Two

I sit in my cell, gazing out at the Lighthouse, watching the FREE people enjoy the Lakefront. It seems an impossible situation. Where is my dog, Puppy? Does anyone know?

Flying High

I noticed the city spiffed up this flag pole for the Memorial Day weekend! The pole stands at the entranceway to the Kissimmee Lighthouse. The small flags are City Of Kissimmee (left) and State Of Florida (right).

Kissimmee Farmer's Market

1) The Kissimmee Farmer's Market is held every Thursday, from 7am to 1pm, at Toho Square.
2) This lady was giving away free slices of cake. I'm on a sugar-free kick.
3) Singing for tips; the gentleman had a wonderful voice. The mural behind him is huge, it covers the entire wall of the building and extends about half a city block. I'll show you more pictures in the future. The mural actually has a washed out appearance, but my secret sauce restored the colors close to what they should be.
4) Bette Sprinkle bronze memorial.

You'll never guess what I did after I took these photos!! I climbed a tree!! I climbed a tree at the Kissimmee Lakefront! That's right, good 'ol George Townboy will go to any length to provide an interesting picture!! LOL

5) Kissimmee Lighthouse, as seen from the tree George Townboy climbed, that day!

Queen Of The Seven Seas

[Click Photos For A Bigger View]

I have decided that strolling along the Kissimmee Lakefront is good for my health. I get my exercise, get some sun, and get to meet new people that inevitably boost my spirits. These two gentlemen were great! They are here on vacation from Atlanta, but were more interested in playing their guitars than fishing ... the woman with them was doing the fishing, and she told me she was expected to catch dinner, lol.

After my informal Queen Of The Seven Seas poll, I went to the Kissimmee Lighthouse, where I stumbled upon the following scene!

The cowboy on the bucking bronco is a symbol of Kissimmee. Rodeo Day takes precedence over President's Day.

If you haven't been to the blog of Lugre Creoula de 1937 yet, you are missing out on seeing one of the most beautiful four mast ships in the world!

Kissimmee Lakefront II

I took these photos in the afternoon, March 13, 2008.

1) Port Of Kissimmee Lighthouse, view from a bench near the marina.
2) Man sitting at the base of the Lighthouse. As I approached the lighthouse, I heard a melodic, rattling sound. When I got beyond the wall, I saw this gentleman holding the metal cups up to his ear as he manipulated them with his fingers. He stopped immediately when he saw me, but was cordial in allowing me to photograph him. He couldn't speak English, at least not very well, so he didn't answer my questions about what he was doing. Maybe it's some kind of religious thing?
3) She was using her camera the same time I was using mine.
