This gentleman was very proud of his "trophy" catch, and as before, very pleasant and cordial in allowing me to get a few photographs. A big thank you to him!! (He was featured in my very first post on this blog.)
That's a happy guy! Nice catch. Let's see... Bit of garlic, some parsley, lemon juice, freshly ground black pepper, sea salt, a sprinkle of chili pepper flakes, fruity olive oil... Want taters or avocado salad on the side? ;D
Fénix: We'll get him to gut the fish! I can't even think about that, lol. Avocado salad on the side ... and the rest sounds SO good. When will you be publishing your Cook Book?
I'm wondering what Clueless is wondering, especially since the guy seems to be enjoying himself so much. Could it be that what he really means is that we, who might want to catch big fish, should hate him because he's so good at catching big fish?
In both your photos this guy has a huge smile - he's a really happy guy! I'm wondering about the t-shirt - maybe it was the only clean shirt he had that morning! Or, maybe he was secretly saying go ahead hate me George, I'm cuter than you and I can fish! LOL!
If a hand is needed to gut the guy, count me in! Just have a doubt, is it sea bass? Because if it is, after making that delicate operation of takings the guts out one can either stuff the belly with raw potatoes or sew the belly. Then, lemon juice, some white wine and pepper on the lad... On a tray make a salt bed ... cover the all tray with salt, put the bass "sleeping" into that bed and fully cover him with more salt. Into the oven the guy goes ... roast, roast, roast and when the salt begins the break after being dry out he comes... take the whole salt out and ... enjoy with a nice chilled white wine and some cherry tomato, feta cheese and basil salad!
Small City Scenes: Bossy? Me? LOL ... nevah! The people with the spam are just sickos that want to make life miserable for nice people like you, that's about the best way I can explain it. If you happen to click on one of those by mistake, it will take you to a site that sells software to "clean" your computer of the bug they just inserted into it, and it will scare the **** out of you, too!
Carletta: Cuter? Cuter than George Townboy???!!! He knows better, lol.
Janice: Thank you so much! I'm going to have to go get some answers from this guy, lol. We'll see what kind of stories he tells!
Quintarantino: Ahh, you gave me a good laugh this morning, thank you! It is lake Bass, but your culinary prowess shows! I've had salted Cod, Brazilian style ... sometimes good, sometimes way overdone! I hope Fénix will come back and get your recipe.
We had sea bass the other day, and I marinaded it in orange juice with a dash of balsamic vinegar, stuffed em with fennel and roasted them. Moreish... (plus I gutted them with a filleting knife....)

(Now, who's gonna gut the fish?)

Why is the guy wearing a "Hate Me" tee shirt?

Clueless: I didn't ask him, but will the next time I run into him.
Lynette: That's exactly what I was thinking, but, as I told Clueless, I'll ask the next time I see him, lol.
So then---we are all in agree-ance. Is that a word?
You were very bossy with him, but he handled it well.
The smiling fisherman. MB
Oh I meant to tell you. I had some more spam stuff on my day4plus blog. I deleted it but why does that happen? MB

These are great pics George - I'll bet he could tell a tall tale about 'the one that got away'! :)

Fish ?
No, thank you.
Entretanto o Quintarantino, como eu já esperava deixou uma receita de peixe.
Another excellent post.

Daniel: Thank you!!
Julie: Wow!
Oh, absolutely. Why, without water, he'd just be sitting there holding his rod. Wouldn't he feel foolish :)
Isadora: Absolutely!! LOL
