That's a photo of the Boston Skyline I took in the late '80s, treated with my special sauce. I'm showing it to you just so I can tell you about
Bostonscapes by Fénix. She's publishing a companion blog to her regular blog featuring her Neighborhood Series. If, by any chance, you haven't been to her blog lately, or
ever, this is a must see series. She has compiled all of the photos from her series in the past year and is presenting them in one post for each neighborhood. The series started last Monday with the
Back Bay, and has moved on to
Beacon Hill,
The Financial District,
The North End,
Boston Harbor, and the
Seaport District. It is an ongoing series, as Boston has many neighborhoods. Please don't miss it!!
Having been born and brought up in Boston, and having lived there until I lost my mind and moved to Florida, some of her posts bring me close to tears because of the memories they evoke. But, I'm a big strong man, so I don't actually break down, lol.
She has no clue about this post.

She will love your wonderful mention, and this beautiful post! I love the effect on this photo...and for some reason, it reminds me of the old Superman series (I have no idea why! :)
Southern Heart :) because it has a feel of looming something. It is how it struck me too - but the affects are great...and so is Boston.
This big strong man is doing such a fine job and then he is generous to boot :) Nice to be among greatness.
What a wonderful post to do - she'll be thrilled.
Love the picture - the sky seems to pull you into the heart of the ciy.
Curious, do you still have a Boston accent or has it all gone South? :)
I went to school with a girl whose Mom was from Boston, she would come into our elementary classroom and say, Kathy I'll be in the Kar - her accent got us every time!
Whatever you do to your photos works wonderfully on the Boston skyline which is impressive already.
I did look at fenix neighborhood series. Very nice. MB
I will be thrilled if Fenix post same skyline taken today for comparison.
I noticed the change of format last week, I quite like the having extra like that.
Fénix certainly has an astounding blog thanks for the heads up George.
Southern Heart: Thank you so much! Do you see "George Townboy" flying high over the city? LOL ... I'm glad you liked the post!
Isadora: I feel the same way when you show up at my blog!!
Carletta: I'm glad you liked the photo, thanks! My accent will nevah go away, lol! Funny, some people pick it up right away, some try to make fun of it, and others say they can't detect it! It is noticeable with any word that rightly has a silent 'r' like cah, pahk, hahvad, yahd, and cahd. LOL
MB: Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed her series.
Ben: That's a great suggestion ... I hope she reads these comments!
Janice: You are very welcome!
Well, I just found out about this. Thanks for the plug and the kind words, George. This post reveals so many things, doesn't it? Very ironic.
Fénix: You are welcome.
It does and it is!
