Bataan Corregidor Monument

The Bataan Corregidor Monument is at the corner of Monument Ave and Lakeshore Drive facing the lake. I've been photographing it consistently, trying to get decent shots to post - I always seemed to be there when it was too sunny. The photo of the plaque is further evidence that I can't shoot straight!

A serious post, for a change, to honor the men and women that are honored by the monument itself.

You captured the monument very well!
Reading the plaque it's sad how far we haven't come when it comes to loss of life.

What a tragedy and tragic loss of life. But we are ever thankful to our defenders. MB
